Need of a Holiday Insurance?
Most "normal" travel insurance policies will give you a basic cover, maybe not exactly the one you need! It is highly recommended that you have at least medical cover. You must check the territorial limits and ensure that you are satisfied with the amount of cover that is provided. We will require insurance details at the booking confirmation. Wildlifers has its own civil liability insurance covering damages to third parts up to a maximum of 300.000 €.
What about the Bird List?
We have designed the birding itineraries in a way that we will observe the listed birds in most likely scenarios. The bird observation list aims at giving the closest indication of what we might expect. The proposed program might be altered due to adverse weather conditions, but we are confident that by the end of the tour, our "seen and heard list" will be within expectation levels.
Special requests
If you have any special requests or needs, they should be clearly stated at the point of booking. It is also the responsibility of the individual to re-confirm these special requests on arrival.
Single supplement?
All of our tour prices are based on double accomodation. Single supplements are available in nearly every tour. This is an extra charge over the quoted shared room rate which is a shared rate. You will be booked into a double unless you indicate in advance your single preference.
How payment is organised when formal booking is made?
The normal way of arranging payment for the majority of our multiple days, all inclusive or half board guided tours, is to pay a 25 % deposit at the time of booking and the final payment fee minimum 7 weeks ahead of the start date, by bank transfer. See our terms & conditions for more details.
What is not included?
The following are not included in the price of the tour: Airfaires, extra drinks, alcoholic beverages (except table wine during meals), laundry service, telephone calls, items of a personal nature, tips, travel insurance, airport taxes, visa, passport fees and excess baggage charges. Please also read carefully the tour description
What happens when reservation is made?
A formal reservation comes with a deposit (normally 25% of the total tour price). After your deposit is receive, we will process to your registration. Participants will then receive extra information about the tour booked (itinerary, bird list, road-book). The full payment needs to be made at the latest 40 days before the start of the holiday.
We will communicate you to which bank swift code the bank tranfer has to be made.

Cancelations, alterations of booked holidays
Cancelation may occur due to low number of participants or due to circumstances out of our control. In that regards, we have a cancelation policy in our terms & conditions. If for reasons out of our control, the tour that you have booked needs to be canceled, you will be informed in writting well ahead of the start of the tour.
By doing so we will try to accomodate you with alternative dates of similiar tour, with potential rebate, which you may accept or not. There is no charge to you whatsoever if you decline the alternative dates. Your deposit is fully refunded by bank transfer. We will also pay any bank fees incurred in refunding your money.
Smoking
It is expected that smokers will respect the wishes of other members of the tour and refrain from smoking during all moments shared with the group.
What is self guided or individual touring?
The concept of self led or independent holiday means that you have a trip that you realise at your pace, a certain schedule needs to be followed though, besides you have the comfort of knowing you have a room reserved in a charming location. Besides, you enjoy some logistics assistance as your luggages are transported each day to the next accomodation and most of the services of a guided trip are provided.
Also, participants receive a detailed road-book and pre-trip documentation providing all the information you'll need in explicit terms. You will have the telephone number of each accomodation/hotel.. Perhaps the greatest quality of a self-guided tour is that you are never dependent on other group members for whatever might be asked.
What to bring?
After you have paid your deposit, we will send you an information package including what to bring, what to wear and a more detailed tour itinerary.
Can you arrange flight booking?
No, we are not a travel agency, we operate bird tours and tailored packages. Our activities are only on the ground, but we will surely help you find the adequate flight if you request so.
Privacy
Your booking information is kept confidential and will not be disclosed or sold to other companies for any purpose whatsoever.
